LASDANA AZAD KASHMIR
|
Lasdana is a
mesmerizing tourist spot in district Haveli of Azad Jammu
and Kashmir (AJK). It is a
captivating hilltop at approximately 8,517 ft. above sea level in Poonch division. It is
likewise termed as the Lasdana top or pass, and it serves as a doorway to
Mehmood Gali, Aliabad, Padhar, Kahutta, and the Dara Haji Peer Valley.
This location is
well-known for its vastly gorgeous vistas and lush greenery all around, since
it is surrounded by a dense forest of towering pine trees. The
region is surrounded by beautiful green slopes, and the snow-capped peaks of
distant mountains add to the allure. This tourist spot is a great location to
visit since it is not only recognized for its breathtaking views, but it is
also known as the greenest spot in the area. It is a wonderful area with a
serene and tranquil setting where travelers come to escape their daily routines
and stress. Because it is the highest peak in the region after Ganga Choti, there are
various short and easy hiking trails that provide visitors with the most
magnificent and lush green landscapes at the top. Every hiking route travels
through a deep forest, where the singing of birds creates a lovely atmosphere
that enchants visitors.
Weather in Lasdana
Because of its
elevation, the temperature here in summer remains mild and pleasant, ranging
from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius. In the winter, Lasdana has significant snowfall
and temperatures as low as -5 Celsius on certain days.
You may visit
here in both the winter and summer seasons since the roads are paved and in
excellent enough shape to go in your own vehicle, however safety precautions
must be taken in the winter. I recommend visiting the place during the summer
season to take in all of the breathtaking and commendable views that surround
you, as well as to go trekking in the jungle. The route goes north-south from Mahmood Gali to Nar Sher Ali
Khan
and is 20.8 kilometers long. The site is
wonderful, and it is surrounded by beautiful scenery but remember that the
route is treacherous, so drive carefully in the rain and avoid going late at
night. From November until March, the winter season lasts and the valley also
has a wet season from April to June.
